Trinity this week – April 23, 2023

Hello Trinity Friends,
Please join us this Sunday for worship at 10:30 am.  There will be a special tip of the hat (quill?) to Shakespeare on his birthday! In Sunday School – in honour of the theatrical celebrations, the children will have a chance to watch one of their Mustard Seed plays from a few years back! Please plan to stay for lunch and a special Faith Forward event.  It promises to be informative and engaging!  Here is a bit more info on that:“Faith Forward 2030” Lunch and Learn, after worship on Sunday April 23rd
Please join other Trinity leaders for lunch after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Before you’re done eating, you will hear about “Faith Forward 2030”– developing a growth and viability plan for Trinity into the future. By the end of the meeting, the Trinity Board will be welcoming volunteers and nominations for a “Faith Forward Visioning Team.” If you’re unable to be with us and want further information or involvement, please be in touch with the Trinity office ASAP.

Volunteer Appreciation We would like to give a huge shout out and offer sincere gratitude to the many volunteers that keep our church thriving!  Our church is able to provide worship space, Sunday School, outreach, space for community groups and much more, because of the many, many Trinity friends who offer their time to help out. To each and everyone of our volunteers we say a big THANK YOU! We would not be here without you!

A reminder that next Sunday April 30th, all area United Churches will gather for the “Fifth Sunday” service at St. Andrew’s United Church.  The theme for the service will be “Voices in Community,” which echoes the lectionary reading from Acts 2: 42-47 that describes the early church coming together. As United Churches in North Bay, we are truly blessed by the many voices that shape our congregational communities, our common United Church identity and our opportunities to share in worship. There will be a light lunch served in the gym after the service.  There will be NO service at Trinity that Sunday.

Tonight is the night – the return of Trinity’s Coffee House Talent night.  Doors will open at 6:15 and music will start at 6:45 and run until just after 9 likely.  There are a number of great performances planned, accompanied by delicious desserts and gourmet coffee and tea!  Admission is by free will donation – and will support  many or Trinity’s ministries through the general fund!  Don’t miss it!

There are a few musical performances to look forward to in the weeks to come.  We are thrilled to be a home for the Arts in our community.  Please come out and support these great opportunities.
