Trinity this week – April 16, 2024

Hello Trinity Friends,

Our worship begins at 10:30 am each Sunday morning and is livestreamed to YouTube each week.  The service is broadcast on Cogeco’s YourTV the following Sunday.  Please note that our Lift remains out of order.  We are hopeful that work will be completed on this by mid May.  We regret the inconvenience this has caused to those of you who rely on the lift to attend worship services and rehearsals. We are looking at ways to serve those who are unable to attend worship due to the lift being out of order – such as setting up a worship space in the Fireside Room. Please feel free to reach out to us if you are interested in alternative arrangements.

Trinity’s Coffee House takes place next Friday April 19th. The Coffee House doors open at 6:30 pm with music starting shortly after.  Admission is by free will donation – (we suggest $10 – 20 per person). There are some amazing talents signed up to perform.  Your last chance to sign up your talent is this Sunday.  We are still looking for a few desserts for the event.  Desserts can be dropped off Thursday evening between 6 – 8 or Friday between 4 and 6:30 pm.  Please pre-cut your dessert if possible!

There are several announcements, community events and things to sign up for!  Please read through and know that you are most welcome!  See you at Trinity!

Membership in May – Trinity is overdue for a new Adult Membership Class. We will gather for a couple of Sundays after church in May, with the hope of welcoming our new members during a service in June! This would also be good for anyone interested in learning more about our Christian faith, or about the United Church of Canada. If you’re interested in a couple of informal gatherings to discuss Christian belief and how we “Do church the United Church way” – please be in touch with Reverend Ted.

REV. TED’S SECRET BOOK CLUB
The idea is simple: Rev. Ted selects a favourite book that has impacted his own life of faith. For a suggested minimum donation of $100, members and friends of Trinity get a copy of this year’s book (to be read in July), and an invitation to one of several intimate backyard book parties (in August) to re-connect and discuss the book!
If you want to join in with us this summer, please call our office or e-mail Rev. Ted before June (tedharrison@hotmail.com). We’ll need to order a big stack of books – Rev. Ted guarantees you a memorable selection!
