Trinity this week – August 17, 2018

Hello Trinity Friends,
After a very busy and energetic week with Trinity’s Vacation Bible Campers, it seems so quiet around here!  We had a wonderfully successful week – I am so grateful to the many people who helped – thanks especially to Marcel MacDonald and our summer student Clara Clark for helping me put together the program, to the wonderful people who helped feed us in the kitchen – Janice Brownlee, Jean Mitchell, Rae Brownlee, Noreen Brewer, Shirley Tayler, Claudette dePencier, Gloria Wigelius, Darlene Laferriere, Sandy Foster and Joanna Bishop-Allen (I hope I haven’t missed anyone).  Thanks to the amazing leaders – Hannah McCallum, Robert Leitner, and Joe Drinkwalter for running sessions.  Thanks to Eve Harrison and Julia Whitehead who helped set-up camp the week before and volunteered all week – and thanks also to the many student volunteers who helped to supervise the children.  Special thanks to the AOTS who provided rides at the Heritage Railway and Carousal for all the campers and to the bakers, and those who donated money to help keep camp affordable for the families.  And last but not least – thank-you to Professor Gigawatt, Professor Frizzle Sandra “DA” Brownlee, Ryan Rozicki and the Shad-man for helping us put together the morning videos. It truly does take a village!

Trinity this week – August 3, 2018

Happy Summer Trinity Friends!
We are happy to welcome you back to worship at Trinity this Sunday August 5th at 10:30 am.  We hope you have had a wonderful summer so far and that you have found some time for rest and renewal.  During our summer worship services we are happy to extend a warm welcome to our friends from St. Andrew’s United Church, just as they extended a warm welcome to us in July!

Please note that Ferguson street is closed to vehicle traffic.  It is possible that the sidewalk may be closed as well – if that is the case, please enter through the McIntyre street entrance.

While Trinity was closed for July, the men’s washroom has been under renovation.  It is not quite finished yet so the washroom in the nursery is available for use. The nursery is unavailable this week due to the renovation.  Please make sure that no children are left unattended in the nursery area due to safety concerns.
Trinity’s Vacation Bible Camp is completely full!  Trinity will be a very busy place the week of August 13 – 17th!  We are really excited about the activities we have planned.  With well over 50 campers plus helpers, we may need a little extra food.  If you are able to bake (nut free) mini muffins, cookies or full sized un-frosted cupcakes we would be very grateful!  They can be dropped off to Trinity next week between 9 and 1.  Thank-you!
A reminder about some upcoming events and activities
