Trinity this week – July 14th , 2017

Hello Trinity Friends,

This Sunday our worship is at 10:30 am as usual.  We welcome friends from St. Andrew’s as well as any other visitors to our Church.  Sunday School continues at Trinity throughout the summer – plenty of fun surprises will happen throughout the summer.

If you use social media or read the Bay Today, you may see that we have a special superhero visitor in our midst.  I have it on good authority that he may be popping in to see our Vacation Bible Camp.  Keep your eyes peeled – you never know where he may turn up next! Check out this in Bay Today. https://www.baytoday.ca/local-news/a-new-local-super-hero-in-the-bay-669339

A reminder that we will be hosting 50 + young people for our summer camp from July 24th to 28th.  If you wish to help out – the kitchen crew would be grateful for mini muffins (nut free), cookies, watermelon, juice boxes, or regular sized un-frosted cupcakes (the kids decorate them for the parents on the last day of camp).

During the week of VBC, the regular groups will be cancelled – please remember that there will be alot of activity (and a little chaos) so plan your drop in accordingly if you need to come to the office that week.

A reminder that the Powassan United Church Basement Bookstore has a lot of books to give away in honour of Canada’s 150th.  Drop in and pick up some fantastic summer reading.  Tuesday and Thursday 10 – 3 or Saturday 9 to 12.

And finally, on a sad note, we are very sorry to share the news that Susan Sheridan (Tennant) died this past week.  Her funeral will be Thursday July 20th  at 1:30 pm at Trinity.   Susan was a member of our Choir and a wonderful supporter the arts and community life here at Trinity. Please join us in holding her family and friends in prayer and love.

Blessings on your week,
