To many of us, this past week has been a difficult one. With extreme cold endangering those who are unsheltered in our community, the political turmoil in our own country, and the very concerning executive orders, rhetoric and actions coming from the US president, our “Blue Monday” may have overextended its welcome! In the midst of the heaviness of the week, it is good to remind ourselves that there is much that is good and beautiful in our world. There are many courageous people who will continue to work for peace and justice in our world and hold our leaders accountable. Please join me in praying for mercy, for strength, for courage and for peace in these trying times. May it be so!
