Hello Trinity Friends,
Trinity staff will be back at work beginning Tuesday September 5th. Our first Sunday worship is September 10th. We look forward to seeing everyone as we head into a busy autumn season.
When you come into Trinity’s McIntyre entrance, or pop by Wanda’s office, you will notice how clean and bright it looks! Thanks to Peggy Millar, Anne Smith, and Kirk Elliot (and anyone else I may have missed) who came in during our August closure to freshen up the McIntyre entrance and Wanda’s office with a new coat of paint – it looks so bright and clean! Thanks also to Earl Foisy for tidying up the cables in the office and doing some general maintenance. We are so grateful to Bob Cook for organizing the work so that our church will be in good shape for our return!
The Fall newsletter is now ready and can be found below. Thanks to Ross Brewer for putting that together. So much to look forward to! Please be sure to read through it.
Earlier this month I shared the news of Frank George’s death on August 13th. There will be a small burial service this upcoming Thursday where friends and family are welcome to attend. Here are the details: Weather permitting, a burial service for Frank George will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 10.30 am at Union Cemetery, followed by a light lunch at Trinity United Church in the Fireside Room. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Fireside Room, followed by a light lunch.
Apple Pie time is approaching!
The pie team will be looking for volunteers to help out. It is a great opportunity to contribute to one of the major fundraisers of the church and have fun too! If you are able to help out either Monday Sept 11 and Tuesday September 12, between 9-1 to assemble spice bags and mix dry pastry please be in touch with Darlene Laferriere.
Bring your favourite bowl and pastry cutter. Bring a snack for break time.
Mark your calendar for our annual Church Family Picnic at Camp Tillicum on Sunday September 17th at 2 pm. More info can be found in your fall newsletter and in your upcoming Sunday bulletins. Hope to see you there!
