Hello Trinity Friends!  We are fresh off our holidays and looking forward to welcoming you back to worship this Sunday at 10:30 am. We will be celebrating a baptism  and welcoming our friends from St. Andrew’s United Church to our worship services while they have their summer break. We have some exciting things planned for Sunday School this August – kicking off with our Super Fun Day Sundae Sunday!  (see below for the rest of the events planned).

When you come to Trinity you may notice a few things have happened while we were closed.  We are in the midst of having some areas in the church examined and prepped for repair in the next several weeks.  You will notice, in particular, a large tarped off area just outside the kitchen door from the Fellowship Hall – we apologize for the unsightly appearance and the inconvenience, but we are happy that the work will be addressed this summer! Thanks to all the people involved in keeping our building in good shape!

A reminder that Trinity’s Vacation Bible Camp begins on Monday August 12 – Friday August 16th.  The deadline to register is this Sunday!  There are only a few spots available. 

It truly takes a village to operate a successful children’s program and we are grateful to all who contribute in any way!  If you would like to know how you can help support this ministry here are a couple of ways:

• Janice and the kitchen team are in need of some volunteers who will come and prep food for the hungry and enthusiastic campers.  If you are able to help out a morning or two, please speak with Janice or look for the sign up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.
• We go through ALOT of fruit and vegetables – donations of food or money is always appreciated!  Food items such as: watermelon, honeydew, grapes, berries, cherry tomatoes, etc. are always appreciated.
• The children are always excited to enjoy some home baked snacks.  If you are willing to bake some cookies, mini muffins or unfrosted regular sized cupcakes, we would be very grateful.  Please note that we have a child who is severely allergic to sesame seeds.  Please NO Seeds or Nuts in any of the items!

In honour of the last day of the summer Olympics, we will celebrate with our own “Olympic” style events!

Sunday August 18^th   VEGGIE TALES EXTRAVAGANZA

Come dressed as your favourite veggie tales character or the colour of your favourite vegetable (is ketchup a vegetable?)  We will watch a veggie tales episode and enjoy some veggie tales inspired snacks!

Sunday August 25^th      CAMP DAY     

Campfire songs, games, stories and S’mores and more!
