Hello and Happy New Year Trinity Friends!
After a brief break over the Christmas season, we are back into full swing here at Trinity.  There are a number of events coming up that you will want to mark into your calendars.  A few of them are highlighted below.  You will also find a winter activities newsletter that was distributed over Christmas (in case you missed it). Join us for worship this Sunday at 10:30 am as we celebrate the baptism of Jesus.  A reminder that next Sunday, January 18th is Communion.  As always, Communion will happen early in the service while the Sunday School is present.
 
The “No Fear King Lear” Lecture Series!
Don’t let King Lear scare you! Over four nights, let us open up the world of Shakespeare for you. Lively, animated discussions that take Shakespeare off his pedestal and back down on the rehearsal floor where he belongs. Led by Director Rod Carley, who received a 2009 TVO “Big Ideas” award for making Shakespeare accessible for today’s audiences. Join us at 7pm on January 14th, February 11th, March 4th, and March 25th – via the side (McIntyre) door. $15 per evening, get your tickets today!
* Lecture One:  The first folio of Shakespeare – unlocking the mysteries of the bard’s original manuscripts. An exciting, hands on discussion that is filled with new discoveries and a whole new way to understand Shakespeare. Accessible and entertaining. The bard made easy. Wednesday January 14th, 7 pm
 

TRINITY’S SNOWSHOE SUNDAY– Canadian Ecology Centre in Samuel de Champlain Park, January 18th 1:30 – 4:30pm. $12 per person, loan of snowshoes included. All ages and skill levels are welcome. A place to warm-up and take a break is available on site. Sign-up in the Sunday School room by Wednesday January 14th.  Call the church for more information!

 
Soup Tasting Evening – Friday January 23rd. 5:00 – 6:30 pm
Tickets are available from the office or from Doris-Rae Brownlee after church this Sunday.  $10 per person, $5 for children 6 – 12 (under 6 is free), $25 per family. Soup Tasting is a wonderful opportunity to sample several delicious soups made by Trinity’s finest chefs.  The meal includes salad, bread, etc.  If you have a soup you would like to contribute there will be a sign-up sheet in the Sunday School room.
