Trinity Weekly Update – January 15, 2016

Hello Trinity Friends,

 
On a cold and blustery day, we would like to welcome you to warm your hearts and hands with us at Trinity. Please take a look and see the upcoming worship services and special events that are happening at Trinity and in our community.
 
Worship Services
Sunday January 17th – Communion,10:30 am.  
Sunday January 24th we celebrate Robbie Burns’ Day.  Feel free to wear your tartans.
 
Special Events
A reminder that Soup’s On tonight at Trinity.  If you would like to enjoy some delicious soup with the fixings – come on down to Trinity (McIntyre Entrance) from 5 – 6:30 pm.  Tickets are $10 Adults, $5 Children (6-12) and $25 for Families
Special Gourmet Salad Dressings will be for sale at the soup tasting for $ 5 a bottle – this is a fundraiser for the church.  4 delicious flavours to choose from!
 
Next Friday night is Trinity’s Annual Coffeehouse 
Friday January 22nd 7 pm.  The Hosts will kick off the entertainment around 6:30 pm and will also finish off our evening – after our talented performers are finished.  Come on out for a fantastic evening of entertainment, decadent desserts and gourmet coffee.  Admission is by free will donation, as is the coffee and dessert. 
 
Mustard Seed Information Session – Sunday January 24th from 1 – 3 pm.  
All young people Senior Kindergarten age and up are invited to hear more about our upcoming musical “A Sailor’s Bible”.  The children will learn a song and some choreography, receive their scripts and CD’s and have a chance to ask questions. Some announcements
 
***  We are looking for some desserts to serve at the Coffee House.  If you are able to contribute a dessert please speak with Lisa Blais or Dave McKenney OR sign-up on the sheet posted in the Sunday School Room.  Thank-you! ***
 
Dave McKenney is also looking for Plastic Egg Cartons for the Beavers.  IF you have some, please bring them into the church as soon as possible.  Thank-you!
 
The Subzero Superheroes Coldest Night Team is looking for super people to join our us!  You can sport a fine toque and join us for the walk and/or you can pledge one of the walkers.  All proceeds will go towards the Gathering Place.  If you would like to make a donation or join the team, please speak with Jim Liddell after church or email Lisa at blais.trinity@gmail.com 
 

Mark your calendars! Trinity’s Second Annual Snowshoe Sunday is scheduled for Sunday January 31st.  Details are in the weekly bulletin or posted on the website.
