Trinity Weekly Update – February 10th, 2017

Happy Friday Trinity Friends!

To Rock or Not to Rock?

A reminder that TONIGHT, our favourite band, the (heavenly) Hosts are performing a fundraiser concert for the upcoming Romeo + Juliet production.  The Hosts will be joined by some of the cast of Romeo + Juliet for an entertaining evening of trivia, music and readings.  Tickets are available at the door for $15 Adults and $10 Students and Children.  Doors open at 7 with the event starting at 7:30 pm.

This Sunday during worship, we celebrate Lord Baden Powell with a special Guiding and Scouting Worship.  Cubs and Brownie age children (and older) are asked to remain in service for the full time. Beavers, Sparks and children in Grade 1 or younger will be invited downstairs for crafts and games.

Following worship a reminder that there is a very special part of the Romeo + Juliet lecture series that some of the young people might be interested in! It is an introduction to Stage Combat. There are 2 sessions at 1 pm and at 3 pm. If your young person is interested please contact me asap. $15 per participant. email me at blais.trinity@gmail.com or leave a message here!

THE SUBZERO SUPERHEROES COLDEST NIGHT TEAM

Trinity United Church and the FIRST Robotics Team 1305 have joined forces once again to battle hunger in our community. Our team, the Subzero Superheroes, will be participating in the Coldest Night of the Year on Saturday, February 25th, 2017.

We are looking for super people to join our team!

You can sport a cape (or fine toque) and join us for the walk and/or you can pledge one of the walkers.  All proceeds will go towards the Gathering Place.  If you would like to make a donation or join the team, please speak with Jim Liddell after church on Sunday or email Lisa at blais.trinity@gmail.com

Blessings and Peace,
