Hello Trinity Friends,
This Sunday September 22nd, we will be celebrating Saint Francis Sunday. You are invited to bring an animal friend, beloved stuffie or an animal memento to be blessed. We are also receiving donations of dog or cat food for our Monday Food Shelf.
On the cover of this week’s bulletin you will see the Saint Francis Stained Glass window that is located on the Main street side of our Sanctuary – a favourite of many of us! You can read more about this particular stained glass window in your bulletin which was dedicated by the Ricker family in 1982 as part of the church’s 100th Anniversary.You can discover more about Harry Ricker at the New Student Union Building at Nipissing University throughout the month of September.
AN EDUCATOR’S PASSION: Exploring the Changing Environment of the Near North (1915 – 1942) The Harry Ricker Collection was curated byTrinity member, Professor Kurt Clausen. The exhibition reception is tonight, Friday, September 20th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Kurt will offer an in-person tour of the Harry Ricker Collection for Trinity members and friends. It is open for the remaining weekdays of September, between 8:30am-4:30pm.
Next Sunday September 29th is a Fifth Sunday Service. Trinity will be closed as we join our United Church faith families in worship at Carmichael United Church (521 Four Mile Lake Rd.) We will honour ‘‘ORANGE SHIRT SUNDAY’’(to observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation) Sunday, September 29th at 10:30 AM Co-hosted by Carmichael & Omond United Churches Please remember to wear Orange, bring a lawn chair and enjoy the Autumn colours for our outdoor service. Dress warmly! Plan to stay after for a Chili Lunch.
TRINITY MEMBERSHIP CLASS
On Sunday October 20th– after worship and coffee time– Reverends Lisa and Ted will host a Trinity membership class. We’ll have conversations about faith, about the United Church of Canada, and about a membership Sunday. Please be in touch with Rev. Ted if you’re interested in becoming an official member of the congregation!
Don’t forget to order your Apple Pies! Order forms are available from your Ushers or on the table outside the Office. Trinity’s Apple Pie project is a major fundraiser for the church. It takes a lot of people to ensure its success. It is a great opportunity for fellowship AND to support your church! All ages are welcome to join the fun – sign up to help – call Darlene at 705-474-7847.

Youth Group Games Social – Sunday September 29th from 1 – 3 pm in Trinity’s Fellowship Hall. All youth in Grade 7 and up are invited to come out for fun, friendship and food! For more info speak to Marcel MacDonald or Lisa Blais

Event Cancelled! The music night that was scheduled at Emmanuel United Church tomorrow night (Sept 21) has been cancelled due to injury.
Emmanuel United Church invites you to Even Song the last Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. It isan opportunity to experience a quiet, contemplative worship designed for those seeking spiritual reflection and peace – it includes thoughtful prayer, meditative music and moments of silence. All are welcome!
