Trinity this week – returning to worship

Hello Trinity Friends,
This Sunday we will be returning to in person worship.  Of course, we know that many of you will choose to stay home for a while longer to stay safe!  We will be “livestreaming” our Sunday worship at 10:30 am on Trinity’s Youtube channel. Trinity’s Youtube Channel

It will remain available for viewing at any time after that.  For those who may need DVD copies to view the worship services, those will be available late afternoon on Sunday.  If you require a DVD or know someone who would appreciate one, please let us know.
For those of you attending church in person this week, please review the Trinity Top 10 tips

You will also find a full version of our Covid Protocols on our website as well.

  • Masks are required and physical distancing measures are in place.
    • Coffee time, Sunday School and nursery care are not be available until further notice.
    • Our seating will be limited to about 80 people.
    • Our doors will NOT be open until 10 am.

We apologize, in advance, if we have to turn people away due to our Covid capacity rules.  Please be patient with us as we continue to monitor the situation and make adaptations to ensure that our community of faith remains safe.

Following the church service, there will be an outdoor physically distant gathering at the waterfront (at the kiwanis shelter near the Boat) from 12 – 3.  Feel free to drop by (bring a snack if you wish) and visit (at a safe distance) with your Trinity friends.  We want to set a good example to our community and show that we can gather safely, respecting all the rules of physical distancing!

There are a couple of announcements I would like to draw your attention to.

An announcement from our Pie Lady will be shared in our church service this Sunday. The announcement is also attached below.

The Manitou Intentional Learning Community (MILC) is hosting an event called “Listen. Learn. Act: Confronting Racism in our Community” on Wednesday September 30th at 6:30 – 8:30 via Zoom.  This is a free event but registration is required.  Please contact gillian.schell@sympatico.ca

Next Sunday September 27th, Trinity will participate in Orange Shirt Day. Orange Shirt Day is held annually on September 30th (at Trinity, we celebrate on a Sunday closest to that day).  This is a day when we honour and remember the Indigenous children who were sent away to Residential Schools in Canada and learn more about the history of these schools. It has become a National Campaign to raise awareness and provide education about Residential Schools in Canada.  Please remember to wear orange that day – if you are not attending worship, please feel free to send us a picture of you in your orange shirt.  Thank-you!
