Hello Trinity Friends,
This Sunday we celebrate Palm and Passion Sunday. The service will include some special musical offerings by our Choir who are accompanied by the Joyful Bells and other special instrumentalists. Birds of a Feather will be our Lenten Blues Musicians.
The worship service will bring us on a journey from Palm into Passion Sunday – preparing us for Holy Week.
In Sunday School the children will be preparing a craft and discussing Palm Sunday (perhaps even have some time to practice folding palm crosses or palm fish.
The Spring Newsletter is attached to this email – many events, worship activities and announcements will be found under the newsletter tab on the website. Happy reading! Thanks to Ross Brewer for assembling the items and publishing another wonderful newsletter!
A reminder that youth in Grade 7 and up are invited to a deeply contemplative Maundy Thursday Prayer Vigil on Thursday April 6th from 6:30 – midnight. Throughout the night we will participate in a number of prayerful activities to bring us into deeper connection with the Easter story. There will be reflections, prayer stations, a late night agape feast, and more. Please RSVP to Lisa
Easter Lily Dedications On Easter Sunday our Sanctuary will be decorated with Easter Lilies that have been dedicated in honour or memory of a loved one. If you would like to purchase a lily (which you can take home after the Easter service) they are $10 each. Your dedication in celebration, memory, or honour of a loved one will be included in the Easter bulletin. Please fill out the form included in your bulletin or contact Rae Brownlee (or a member of the UCW) for more information.
Trinity Photo Directory
We are excited to have partnered with Universal Portraits to publish a new photo directory! There will be absolutely NO pressure to purchase a photo (you will get a free directory anyways), but you are, of course, welcome to purchase your photo if you wish. Universal Portraits have recently done directories for other local churches. The photo directory is a useful tool and a great keepsake. The photo sittings will take place between May 10th and May 13th with the photo directory being made available in early September. You can book your sitting online (contact the office for the link). Universal Portraits will be reaching out to make an appointment in the weeks to come! For more info please contact the church office.
Homeless and Phoneless Many of us have the good fortune of being able to access new cellphones on a regular basis. Perhaps you have some old phones around your home that you wonder what to do with? Why not consider donating one to someone without a phone. For those experiencing homelessness, it is near impossible to access support without a phone! If you have a cell phone you are willing to donate, please bring it in and give to Sue Miller or leave at the back of the Sanctuary in the marked container. Thank you!
