Trinity this week – Orange Shirt Day

Hello Trinity Friends,

Last Sunday was our first chance to gather for in person worship. We were a small crowd but it was lovely to be in our sanctuary together. Our in person worship service will be livestreamed at 10:30 am on our Youtube channel and posted as well to watch at your convenience. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCy7mN9BQuGGXz98W-16fHqw

As we continue to do our part to keep each other safe during this time, please note that we can only accommodate about 80 people in our Sanctuary. Masks are mandatory. Doors will not be open until 10 am. **Please note that this Sunday there will be a movie being shot at the Capitol Centre and in the alley behind our Church this Sunday. There will be no parking along McInytre Street – including the parking garage. It is probably best to park on Worthington street.

This Sunday in our worship service, we celebrate “Orange Shirt Day”. Orange Shirt day is a day to recognize and honour those children and their families affected by residential schooling. It is an opportunity to raise awareness of the impact of residential schooling, to celebrate the strength and resiliency of Indigenous peoples and to pledge that every child matters! Please consider wearing Orange on Sunday and on September 30th – the day chosen as Orange Shirt Day.

A reminder that the following Sunday we will celebrate St. Francis Sunday which will include an animal blessing. We have asked people to send in their photos of their beloved animal friends due to Covid precautions. Photographs can be sent via email to blais.trinity@gmail.com

Request for Decor Donations

The front of the church will be decorated for Thanksgiving Sunday and we are looking for a few specific items:

  • 1 large orange pumpkin
  • 1 large white pumpkin
  • Mini pumpkins
  • Decorative gourds
  • 2 garden mums – large multi-coloured, both the same

Please confirm with Bonnie-Rae Bailey either through email (message or call office for contact info)BEFORE you purchase or drop off. Sandy Haslam will be decorating on Oct 8th so drop off at the church by Oct 6th would be ideal – you must call to arrange a time to drop off due to Covid restrictions. Thank you so much for your help!

Lock Change

The lock will be changed this week for the McIntyre Street entrance. All those who have keys to that door, please note that your key will NOT work in that door anymore. New keys are being made for those who will require them. Should you require a key or entrance into the building for any reason, please contact Ryan or call the office.

Thank you and see you Sunday!
