Trinity this week – May 29, 2022

Hello Trinity Friends,

We hope you will join us this Sunday for worship at 10:30 am – either in person or on our YouTube Channel.  Prelude music begins a little earlier (around 10:20 am) and often contains some special musical selections.  At this time, masks are to be worn at all times (except for coffee time downstairs in the Fellowship Hall).  Beginning in June, some of our masking protocols will be loosened.  (More about that below.)
A reminder that this Saturday, May 28th a Memorial service for Irene Honeyborne will be held at Trinity. Visitation is from 9:30-10:30 am, followed by the memorial service at 11 am.

Announcements and Upcoming Events

Masking Protocols The Covid Response Team met this past week to discuss the masking protocols as we move into the summer months.  It was agreed that beginning with worship on June 5th, masks may now be removed once seated.  In order to respect the well being of those who require an extra level of safety, we will provide a designated area in the Church Sanctuary where masks will be required at all times. The remaining parts of the Sanctuary will be mask optional.  Masks will still be required in all other areas of the Church – such as while entering and exiting the building, in hallways and washrooms and while using the lift.  Masks may be removed in the Fellowship Hall during coffee time.

IS IT TIME FOR THE CHURCH TO CHANGE?
The last 2+ pandemic years have pushed us to reinvent our Trinity faith community. And we’ve surprised ourselves with our own grit and creativity!

As we come into our ‘new normal,’ the Trinity Board is asking, Who are we now? And more importantly, who is God calling us to be? Over the next few years, Trinity will be engaged in a conversation called, “Faith Forward 2030.” As the name implies, we’ll be looking at where our faith directs us, what talents and resources we can use, whether other area United Churches share a similar vision, and where we want to be in 2030 and beyond? Stay tuned for news of more involvement by the congregation over the coming months as your board embarks on this exciting journey!
