Hello Trinity Friends,
This Sunday is the second Sunday in Lent and we continue our exploration of the Lenten Blues with our musical guest, Marcel MacDonald. Our service begins at 10:30 am. Rev. Ted offered this “blues truth” as articulated by W.E.B. Du Bois: “Through all the sorrow of the Sorrow Songs there breathes a hope- a faith in the ultimate justice of all things.”
During Sunday School the children will be starting a new lesson series on Jesus’ Healing Ministry. The Sunday School children have been practicing for a special performance on Easter Sunday. Rehearsals take place immediately after Sunday School in the Fireside Room on the following days: March 8, March 22, March 29th. (Please note that there are no rehearsals this Sunday or on March 15). All young people are welcome to participate!
Lenten Offering envelopes are available from your Ushers. This year’s Lenten offering will be directed to the Monday Food Shelf and the Infant Food Shelf. Both of these programs have seen a substantial increase in financial cost and increased usage. Thank you for your support!
Tax Receipts are now ready. You can pick up yours this Sunday. They will be mailed out next week.
