Hello Trinity Friends,
This Sunday we are joined by Rev. Lillian Roberts, while Rev. Ted and other Trinity members are on the Men’s Canoe Trip! Let’s hope for good weather, few bugs and a meaningful time together!
Last week at the Festival of Faith in Sudbury, there were 4 people Ordained to Ministry in the United Church of Canada. St. Andrew’s Minister, Rev. Caitlin Smithers was one of them! Be sure to congratulate her if you see her!
Below you will see a few announcements – as we head into the quieter summer days, there will be few announcements to share. I will be away until July 7th, so this will be the only Friday newsletter you receive for a couple of weeks!
Tomorrow is Indigenous Peoples Day. It is a day to celebrate Indigenous art, culture, history, and more! There are a number of pow wows taking place throughout the summer – all people are welcome! To learn more about what to expect and to find a local powwow check out this guide: https://www.anishinabek.ca/Flipbooks/2025PowWowGuide.html
Before you attend a pow wow, you could read the Minute for Right Relations article to learn about pow wow etiquette. You will find this resource and more on the Canadian Shield Regional Council’s website! https://canadianshieldrc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/M4RR-May-2025-Pow-Wow-Etiquette.pdf

Vacation Bible Camp Baker/Kitchen Helper
From July 21 to 25th, our church will be filled with over 50 hungry children and youth for our Vacation Bible Camp program! We are looking for people to back mini muffins and cookies and also plain, unfrosted full sized cupcakes. Kitchen helpers are also needed to prep and serve food. Donations of money (to purchase food), Fruit and Vegetables (melons, grapes, carrots, etc.) are also welcome! Please speak with Janice Brownlee or Marion Colquhoun if you are able to help!
Good news! Sue Laberge has offered to be our new Newsletter and Annual Report editor. We offer our gratitude to Ross Brewer who has done this task for many many years. Newsletter submissions for the Fall newsletter will be due on Sunday July 27th. Information on where to send them will be posted in a few weeks!
Trinity Summer Hours
Beginning on Sunday June 29th, we will welcome our friends from St. Andrew’s United Church, who will join us while their church is closed for holidays!
Trinity will be closed in August this year. We are invited to join St. Andrew’s for worship beginning August 3rd and throughout August.
We are still glowing from the amazing Centennia Worship weekend – if you didn’t get a chance to attend but would like to see the worship service, you can find it on our YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/@TrinityNorthBay
Blessings to you all – see you in July!
