Trinity this week – June 1, 2025

Hello Trinity Friends,

This Sunday, we celebrate our Children’s ministries and offer gratitude to those who have supported this vibrant ministry.  Mustard Seed will perform a song from their upcoming show and there will be another special surprise!

In the afternoon, the JOY Band will present their spring concert: “Swing into Spring”. Directed by our Minister of Music, Betty Farris, the JOY Band will fill the sanctuary with some lively music!  Sunday June 1st at 1:30 – Free will offering (donations to the Salvation Army).  Refreshments will follow.

On behalf of Trinity Arts, we would like to thank the cast and crew from the Holy Grail troupe last weekend!  The show was a wild success!  There were many people who worked hard to bring this to life, but no-one worked harder than our Director, Chris Mogan. Thank you Chris!! Our numbers will be finalized in the next week or so, but we can share that approximately 600 people bought tickets to the show which raised around $10,000 in support of Trinity Outreach spaces! Bravo!

This is the last weekend for the TP North Bay campaign.  We will be counting our rolls to contribute to the count on Sunday afternoon.  Please bring in your packages of toilet paper this Sunday! This program ensures that all the food bank programs have toilet paper to give out for the entire year.  We are grateful for that support!

A reminder to all that the following weekend is our Centennial Celebration weekend.  On Sunday June 8th, we will be worshipping at the Callander Community Centre at 11 am.  This very special service will include a large choir consisting of members from several area United Churches, along with instrumentalists (including the Joyful Bells), a youth choir, worship leadership from across our region, a bbq lunch (provided by the AOTS) with dessert (provided by the UCW0, followed by old fashioned church picnic style games.  This is a celebration you do not want to miss!

But before the Centennial worship service, there are other ways to celebrate!

The Mustard Seed Players will perform “Happily Forever After” on Friday June 6th at 7 pm and Saturday June 7th at 2 pm at Trinity.  The children have been working very hard on this – please come out and show your support!

The Stained Glass Window Tour still has tickets available. You can get on the bus at Emmanuel United Church or you can drive yourself to the different locations.  A schedule will be sent out next week with timings.  This is a fantastic way to learn more about the beautiful stained glass windows at our United Churches right from the artist himself!  It begins at Emmanuel United Church with a continental breakfast at 8 am and then the tour begins at 8:30 am. Don’t miss out!

The Saturday night Hops and Hymns with the Hosts event is almost sold out.  There may be a couple of tickets left once we receive the tickets from other churches.  If you plan to come but do not yet have a ticket, please contact the church office to be put on a wait list.

The Centennial Celebrations will continue throughout the year – you are encouraged to follow us on facebook so you don’t miss out!  https://www.facebook.com/UnitedChurchesNorthBay

See you at Trinity!
