Trinity this week – Holy Humour Sunday – May 1, 2022

Hello Trinity Friends,
Join us this  Sunday for Holy Humour Sunday.  In person worship begins at 10:30 with prelude music usually beginning around 10:20.  At this time, masks continue to be required for all events in the Sanctuary – worship and the upcoming VINTA concert. Masks are required also for Sunday School.  Midweek groups are allowed to determine their own comfort level with masks but we would like to remind everyone that masks are required if you leave your meeting space and in all other public areas – such as hallways and washrooms.  Thank you for doing your part in keeping everyone safe!
A reminder that worship services, and other special video projects are available on our YouTube channel.  Trinity’s Channel

For those worshipping with us from home, the bulletin is available on our website here Weekly Bulletin  Feel free to download it or print it so you can follow along and join in on the responsive parts.  You will also find more announcements and information about upcoming events listed in the bulletin.

Upcoming Events and AnnouncementsTrinity Arts is excited to host VINTA, live in concert on Friday May 6th at 7:30 pm. Vinta is Nathan Smith, Emilyn Stam, John David Williams, and Robert Alan Mackie, four brilliant performers and close friends at the cutting edge of European traditional music in Canada. Nearly a decade of these four musicians hanging out at fiddle jams around Toronto has culminated in this quartet, bringing new intensity to old tunes, and growing new tunes from old sources. A band of multi-instrumentalists and genuine scholars, Vinta is making music that is powerful, profound, and fiercely danceable. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door (with a portion of the proceeds supporting Trinity).  We are hoping to have some tickets soon!  Feel free to contact the office to leave your name for when the tickets arrive.  Feel free to check them out at www.vintamusic.com
“MEMBERSHIP IN MAY”
Trinity is overdue for a new Adult Membership Class. We will gather for a couple of Sundays after church during May, with the hope of welcoming our new members on Anniversary Sunday, June 12th! This is also a good Sunday for anyone interested in learning more about our Christian faith, or about the United Church of Canada. If you’re interested in a couple of informal gatherings to discuss Christian belief and how we “Do church the United Church way”—please be in touch with Reverend Ted and he will set up our May gatherings!

Food Bank Clothing DriveJohn Mitchell, our Food Bank clothing depot volunteer, has asked for donations of gently used, clean spring clothing. Men’s clothing is typically needed more than women’s but all is appreciated.  Please be selective of what you donate – no clothes with holes, stains, etc. Thanks!
