Trinity this week – Ascension Sunday – May 24, 2020

Hello Trinity Friends,Join us online this Sunday (or whenever is convenient) for the Ascension Sunday service.  Trinity is joined by friends near and far to share readings, prayers, music and more.  We have an update from our Board Chair, Bob Cook and a special Children’s Time segment on how some of our Church family are spreading joy in our community!
The link to the worship service (which will be available after noon on Saturday) is Ascension Sunday Worship
A couple of announcements:

The Manitou Intentional Learning Community is excited to invite you to a virtual learning opportunity.

We Belong to the Land: A reflection on paths to a just peace and reconciliation in the Holy Land presented by James Walker, live online Friday, May 29th, 6:30 p.m.

Registration required. Contact gillian.schell@sympatico.ca

In the summer of 2019, James Walker, a Master of Architecture student at Laurentian University and long- time member of the United Church of Canada, travelled to Palestine and Israel with 13 other pilgrims as part of the Youth for Peace Pilgrimage. While there, he travelled to many different holy sites and sacred spaces, spent time in occupied territories and refugee camps where he saw the effects of the Israeli occupation, and listened to the stories of citizens and of United Church partners. Through these experiences he gained a better understanding of the sociopolitical situation, developed insights into the issues impacting the Holy Land, and explored possibilities for the future.

Please join us as we find ways to stay connected and learn together while we must remain physically apart.
A reminder that Trinity’s staff will be on holiday in July.  Trinity’s last online worship service before the holiday will be on Sunday June 28th.  St. Andrew’s and Emmanuel United Churches will be planning an online service during that time.  More information of where you can find online worship will be posted as we approach the end of June.  Trinity will resume worship services (likely online) on August 9th.
Our offices may be closed, but the staff continue to work through the pandemic.  Should you need to reach any of us, please leave a message on the Church answering machine (705)474-3310 or email us at our personal emails or at trinitynorthbay@gmail.com
Sunshine and Blessings,
