Trinity this week – Advent Peace – December 8, 2024

Hello Trinity Friends,

This Sunday is the second Sunday in Advent. We light our second candle in the Advent wreath – the candle of peace – and pray that one day, we will know peace on earth.  We will be collecting gifts and donations for White Gift Sunday. Your White Gift donations will be shared between our Food Shelf programs and our Christmas Gift Bag Outreach. Please bring your items in a medium sized Christmas bag or reusable shopping bag (please do not wrap them). If you are donating money please label your envelope “White Gift Sunday”.  The Sunday School children will collect the items during the service.  Thank you for your willingness to spread peace and comfort for those who need it!

In the afternoon, the JOY Band presents “A Most Wonderful Christmas” at 2 pm in Trinity’s Sanctuary.  Come early for a good seat and to join a Carol Sing-a-long at 1:30 pm.  Admission is by free will donation which will be donated to the North Bay Santa Fund and Trinity’s Food Shelf.

AOTS CHRISTMAS PUDDING is still available for sale downstairs after the service. Only $20 and delicious with whipped cream!

Next Sunday December 15th will be a jam packed, lively day!  We will celebrate and thank Wanda Gleason for her years of dedication and care as Office Administrator. A special celebration will happen during the service Sunday am and will continue in the fellowship hall after the service with cake and a chance to congratulate Wanda on her retirement.  If you’d like to contribute to a congregational gift for Wanda, please give to Janice Brownlee this Sunday.

Also that same Sunday the children will present their Christmas pageant, Manger Tales during the worship service. It is sure to be a joy filled worship service that you will not want to miss!
