Hello Trinity Friends,
This Sunday is the second Sunday in Advent. We light the candle of peace. We celebrate White Gift Sunday – the Sunday School will collect the items during our morning worship. Some ideas for your White Gift are: non-perishable food, infant size diapers, toothpaste, toothbrush, socks, slippers, scarves, playing cards, new puzzles or money to purchase needed items. In Sunday School we will continue to rehearse for the ever popular Christmas Pageant (Dec. 22nd, 1:30).
A reminder that It’s a Wonderful Life: Live Radio Play takes place this weekend. The beloved Christmas story, “It’s a Wonderful Life” done up as a vintage radio play – complete with jingles by Heartbeat Barbershop Quartet. Seven actors, supported by a sound-effects man, deliver the lines of all the characters from the movie, dressed in 1940s fashions, during the golden age of radio.
“This holiday season we take you back to a time when radio dramas brought families together to enjoy a story well-told,” says Carley. “To a time before earbuds and cellphones and podcasts made entertainment a solitary experience. Come together in our community’s living room like the enormous family we are and watch a holiday classic take shape. Live theatre as live theatre, as heartwarming as can be!”
Friday, December 6 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, December 8 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets available at the door. Adults: $15. Students: $10.
Next week plan to stay for the JOY Band Christmas concert : A Most Wonderful Christmas! Sunday December 15th at 1:30 pm. The Carol Sing-a-long begins at 1. Free will offering with all proceeds to the Warming Centres.
