This Sunday, we celebrate the 3rd Sunday in Advent and light the candle of JOY!   The Sunday School will be presenting their lighthearted and joy filled Christmas pageant: An Eyewitness Advent during the service.  Come early and join in a carol sing before church.  Following the service, Trinity youth will be packing Christmas bags for those who may not otherwise receive gifts this Christmas.  Thank you for your generous donations to the White Gift Christmas Bag Outreach!

To conclude the 100th Anniversary of the United Church of Canada celebrations, members from 9 North Bay and area churches have formed a massed choir of approximately 60 choristers, instrumentalists, and narrators to present
Rhapsody in Bluegrass: A Christmas Jubilee”, by Joseph Martin. This exciting
Christmas cantata tells the Christmas story through narration and song, with accompaniment by a bluegrass combo. The music is a wonderful combination of bluegrass and traditional music. The first performance will be on Sunday, December 14, 2:00 p.m., at Powassan Wesleyan Methodist Church.
The final performance will be at Trinity United Church in North Bay on Sunday,
December 21. A carol sing will take place at 1:30 p.m., followed by the cantata
performance at 2:00 p.m. Refreshments will follow. Free will donations will support the cantata. This is a presentation that the whole family will enjoy.

Christmas time can be difficult for some. Our Trinity Food Shelf continues to offer more than just food for our clients – many come in to enjoy coffee and a friendly visit, to browse our clothing table, or just to warm up.  We are grateful for the generous support by Trinity members and our wider community that keeps our cupboards stocked.  We are particularly grateful to all our volunteers who serve our clients with a generous and kind heart! During the next two Food Bank days (Monday December 15 and 22) we would like to provide a little extra for our clients.  Donations of Christmas treats would be most welcome.  We are also in need of clean, gently used (or new) warm clothing: coats, sweaters, sweatpants, socks.  Thank you once again for your generosity and compassion!
