Hello Trinity Friends,

A reminder that the Trinity Dessert Auction is on now and will close at 7 pm tonight.  If you would like to set a maximum bid on a specific item, please call the church office or reply to this email and we will do your “bidding” for you!The items are posted on the website or you can click on this link (if you are on facebook).

This Sunday is the third Sunday in Advent.  We light the candle of JOY – something that we need an abundance of at this time!  The service begins around 10:20 with some live Christmas music.  Please tune in early!   The bulletin is attached for you to follow along (and sing along at home) with. Please join us for our livestream service here Trinity’s YouTube Channel or in person (limited seating, covid protocols in place).  The worship service will also be uploaded to YouTube and can be viewed anytime afterwards!

Please be sure to check our Covid protocols listed on our website before attending any in person worship service!  Our Advent and Christmas Services are listed below.  Please note that all these services will be available online!

Advent 4 Sunday December 20th, 10:30
Longest Night Service  – Monday December 21st, 7 pm A quiet, contemplative, and deeply moving worship service shared by St. Andrew’s & Trinity on the evening of the winter solstice. It is an opportunity to take pause to acknowledge our concerns and to contemplate the hopes, fears, and prayers of the season.

Christmas Eve Service – Thursday December 24th, 4 pm and 7 pm (including the Sunday School Virtual Christmas Pageant) There will be two identical Christmas eve services for those joining us for in person worship.  The 4 pm service will also be available livestreamed and uploaded to YouTube to watch at any time you wish.  We ask that if you have visitors from out of town joining you this year, that you stay home and join us online for worship.  You can grab a nice cup of hot chocolate, coffee, tea and enjoy the service from the comfort of your own home 🙂

Sunday Worship – Sunday December 27, 10:30

Christmas Card Campaign – Help Needed!

Families from Neskantaga First Nation have been living in a Thunder Bay Hotel for months while waiting for clean drinking water in their community.  MP Charlie Angus and Shannen’s Dream has offered this wonderful way of spreading some joy to the families while they are away from their homes.  A flyer is attached to this email for information.  Share your hopes and good wishes to the families of Neskantaga by sending them Christmas cards and letters.  The address to send them is: CHRISTMAS FOR NESKANTAGA
Victoria INN, 555 Arthur St W,
     Thunder Bay, ON P7E 5R5

At this very unusual Christmas season, find time to appreciate the special moments that bring joy to our world: the excitement of children, acts of generosity and kindness, the beauty in nature, and those moments of connection in a time where it is most needed – phone calls, cards, zoom parties, and more.  Wishing you abundant joy,
