Trinity this week – Advent 4 and Christmas

Hello Trinity Friends,
This Sunday is the fourth Sunday in Advent.  We light the candle of love – something we all need an abundance of at this time of year!
Join us this Sunday online on YouTube at this link Trinity’s YouTube Channelor in person (limited capacity with Covid precautions in place) this Sunday at 10:30 am.

The bulletin can be found here

Trinity hosts the Longest Night Candle Lighting service on Monday December 21st at 7 pm. We are joined by friends from St. Andrew’s United Church along with others from our community.   On the longest night of the year we take pause to acknowledge the more difficult and conflicted times in our lives and to offer up our prayers of hope, peace and love during this time.  Please note that due to our Covid measures, that people will not be able to come forward to light a candle.  The designated candle lighters will light candles on the community’s behalf.

Christmas Eve at Trinity There will be two identical worship services at 4 pm and at 7 pm.  You are welcome to join us at one of those times (please note that in between the service, we will be initiating covid cleaning measures and airing out the sanctuary before the next service.  The doors will be open only a half hour before the service.  The 4 pm service will be livestreamed and recorded and uploaded for folk to watch whenever convenient.  This is sure to be an uplifting and joyful service of Music, Prayers and the Sunday School “Virtual” Christmas Pageant.

The offices will be closed from Friday December 25th and will re-open on Tuesday January 5th.  The food bank will be closed on Monday Dec. 87th and Monday Jan. 4th.  For emergency pastoral care, phones and THIS email will be checked periodically.

A reminder please – to those folk who have family visiting from out of our district over the holidays – we are recommending you stay home and watch the services online from the comfort of your living room – with some snacks and a nice warm beverage.  With numbers increasing throughout our country, it is best to stay home and stay safe!  All of our services will be livestreamed and uploaded to YouTube for you to join us in worship at your convenience.
The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Health Unit) has issued a list of recommendations regarding the holidays and is reminding the community that the safest way to spend the holidays this year is by only celebrating in-person with the people you live with and celebrating virtually with everyone else.

At this time, travel outside our region to visit or shop this holiday season is strongly discouraged. If you choose to travel, isolate for 14 days prior to leaving the district and isolate for 14 days upon return.

For more information from the Health Unit on COVID-19 and the holidays visit myhealthunit.ca/COVID-19Holidays.

Please remember to hold those who are alone or hurting in prayer and love.  MERRY CHRISTMAS and may you have a new year filled with good health, happiness and much love!
