Trinity United Church North Bay

Hello Trinity Friends,

This Sunday there will be a hymn sing before our Worship Service begins.  Come early and choose your favourite hymn!  Our worship begins at 10:30 am in person, or can be viewed on YouTube anytime!

In this week’s bulletin you can read about two vital campaigns dedicated to ending gender-based violence that take place this May: Red Dress Day – May 5th and the Moose Hide Campaign – May 14th.  We encourage you to read the bulletin announcement and consider how you might participate. It is also the start of Mental Health Week. There are some tips in your bulletin for how you can help make the world a better place for those with mental health challenges.

The Sympathy of the congregation is extended to the Brownlee-Smith Family on the death of Adam’s Mom, Pat. Please hold Adam, Diane, Henry, and their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Pat’s funeral takes place this Saturday May 2nd in Toronto.

2026 TRINITY MEMBERSHIP CLASS: The new adult Trinity membership class is to take place on Sunday May 24, as a “brown bag” event after church, ideal for people who want to officially join the Trinity congregation– or even for those who want a “refresh” on Trinity and on the United Church of Canada! Please be in touch with Rev. Ted, Lisa, or Sue Miller with your interest. (Contact Ted at: tedharrison@hotmail.com)

TOILET PAPER CAMPAIGN
The 13th Annual TP North Bay Campaign has begun.
Did you know that the majority of the toilet paper we give out to our Food Shelf Clients comes from this amazing community initiative?  TP North Bay supplies toilet paper to 16 Food Banks! This is coming at a perfect time as we have just depleted our TP Stocks!  Please consider donating toilet paper – either at any of the locations listed in the poster posted on the bulletin board, or directly to Trinity United Church or any other local food bank! There is a basket in the narthex (front foyer) where you can place your items. Thank-you for your continued support.

BACKPACKS OF LOVE CAMPAIGN: The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay are gearing up for
their Backpacks of Love campaign. We are asking our Trinity congregation to provide the following: Socks, Lip Balm, Mini flashlights. You can drop off your donation at the back of the sanctuary in the box provided. We are also accepting cash donations. Donations accepted at Trinity until May 7th.
