Happy New Year Trinity Friends! On behalf of you Trinity staff – Thank you for the many ways you expressed appreciation to us this holiday season. Your cards, gifts, and warm greetings brought us cheer and brightened our Christmas!

‘Saying Goodbye to the Family Home? – Tips, Tricks, and Laughs to Help You Move On (Because Packing Boxes Is Less Sad When You’re Chuckling)
Is your time in the family home winding down soon? Are you wondering what life will be like after you give up that spot on the couch you’ve perfectly moulded to your backside, or all those random trinkets you’ve collected from every garage sale in town? Worried about leaving the place just when you finally figured out which light switch does what? Or maybe you’re just hoping for a heads-up before your parents start their own “Farewell Tour” around the living room?
Well, fret not, brave soul! On Sunday, February 1st, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Trinity United Church invites you to a legendary gathering worthy of your best moving-day sweatpants. We’re welcoming Mary Pat Sullivan, PhD, MSW, BSW, RSW—registered social worker, Professor of Social Gerontology and Social Work at Nipissing University, and, rumour has it, someone who knows a thing or two about packing up emotional baggage (and probably actual baggage). Dr. Sullivan—plus a squad of her fourth-year students from the world-famous Gerontological Social Work course—will be serving up wisdom on what to expect when you’re expecting… to leave the family home. The session is free (because who wants to pay when you’re already losing your favourite bathroom?)
One last thing: please RSVP to Peggy in the church office before Wednesday, January 28th. 705-474-3310 trinitynorthbay@gmail.com.
