Hello Trinity Friends,

I hope you have all been having a good summer so far.  Although this is not the summer we anticipated, I hope you have continued to find innovative ways to connect with friends and loved ones.  Speaking on behalf of the staff, we are grateful to have had some time off to spend with family and away from the screens (at least some of the time).

Trinity staff resume work on Tuesday August 4th – however, you may have heard that we had an issue with the ceiling in the Fireside Room that needs to be repaired.  This may delay our return to “in person” work.  As we continue to navigate the Covid restrictions, it is best that if you need to come in to the Church to meet with a staff person, that you contact us ahead of time to arrange a meeting.  Masks will be mandatory in the Church Building (as they are for all public indoor spaces).  

The Church re-opening Committee has been hard at work preparing for an eventual return to in person worship services – more information will be shared about that (and group activities) in the next couple weeks.  In the meantime, Trinity will resume online worship services on Sunday August 9th.  Thank you to the staff at St. Andrew’s and Emmanuel United Churches for the wonderful worship services while Trinity was closed – staff at both of those churches will be starting their holidays beginning next week.  We wish them a wonderful, restful time off.

An announcement from Ed of the AOTS is attached below.  It is with pleasure that I can tell you that the AOTS Gift Card program is still in operation through these trying times.  I will be submitting an order on Monday 03 Aug.  Should you wish to place an order, complete your list of cards needed, write the appropriate cheque and deliver it to my home and place it in the mailbox anytime between now and 4:00 PM Monday 3rd Aug.    Remember, make your cheque payable to “Trinity United Church AOTS” .  (The wording is latest bank requirement).  Of course cash is also accepted.If you have any questions just call me at 705 476 5316.Please note the AOTS Card program has Orchards Fresh Foods cards available for your convenience. Denomination of $25.00 only.  (AOTS receives 20% profit for each card sold)After Aug 3rd the next order will be submitted on 30 Aug.
