Hello Trinity Friends!

Join us for worship this Sunday at 10:30 am.  The Junior Choir will be sharing a song during worship. Rev. Ted’s sermon is titled “Easter Chickens” and in Sunday School the children are beginning a rotation on the story of the Loaves and Fish!
A reminder to all those who have annual report submissions that the deadline is this Sunday.  Please email them to Ross – contact info available from the church office.
There are a few upcoming events that we would like to draw your attention to.
 Snowshoe Sunday – February 4th at 1:15 at the Wasi Cross Country Ski Club.  $8 adults $3 (under 12).  Please sign up in the Fellowship Hall or speak with Barb Roberts – ALL ARE WELCOME!
*  “Truly and Humbly” memories of the first apology movie and discussion.  Wednesday February 7th 9:30 am – 12 pm at Trinity’s Fireside Room

Trinity This Week! Coffee House and Robbie Burns

Hello Trinity Friends!

Tonight we celebrate the amazing talent in our community with Trinity’s Coffee House Talent Night.  Join us for a variety of entertainment, starting with the Heavenly Hosts at 6:30 pm.  Enjoy delicious dessert and gourmet coffee and tea in a comfy coffeehouse setting!  Admission by donation to The Mission and Service Fund.
This Sunday, we celebrate the Scottish Bard Robbie Burns.  Worship is at 10:30 am and you are encouraged to wear your tartan or other Scottish garb!
Community Christian Unity Service – Sunday January 21st, 2 pm.  Join United, Roman Catholic, Anglican, Presbyterian and other churches at St. Brice’s Anglican Church on Cassells.
Next Friday January 26th is the UCW Cafeteria Style Lunch.  11 am to 1 pm.  Sandwiches, soup, chili and more served at great prices. All are welcome!

Trinity This Week! January 12, 2018

Hello Trinity Friends!

After all the scraping and shoveling, why not take a break and join your Trinity friends for some warm soup and great hospitality?  Soup’s on tonight from 5 – 6:30 pm, hosted by the AOTS Men’s Group- sample a variety of soups prepared by many different Trinity chefs, complemented by bread, salad, dessert and refreshments!  $10 adults, $8 students, under 6 free – $25 per family of 4
This Sunday join us for worship at 10:30 am where we explore the theme of God’s call.   Next Sunday, we celebrate Robbie Burns!  You are encouraged to wear your Tartans in honour of the Scottish Bard.
Mustard Seed is holding an information session for the upcoming musical “Free to Be”.  This Sunday January 14th from 4 to 5 pm.  This is a timeless musical which addresses stereotypes and encourages individuality and acceptance in an uplifting and comedic way.  All young people from Kindergarten to Grade 8 are welcome.  Rehearsals will begin AFTER March Break.  If your child is interested but is unable to attend, please email Lisa at blais.trinity@gmail.com to receive a CD and script.
Trinity Coffee House is coming up!  Friday January 19th.  If you have a talent you would like to share be sure to sign up on the sheet in the Fellowship Hall or reply to this email!  Desserts are also needed.  The Coffee House is a fantastic evening to enjoy music, readings, laughter, coffee (hot chocolate or tea) and decadent desserts.  Drop in between 6:30 and 9 pm.  Admission is by donation.

Trinity this week – January 5, 2018

Hello and Happy New Year Trinity Friends!

I hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas season filled with friends, family and lots of love.  On behalf of the staff here at Trinity, we would like to thank you for your cards, gifts and good wishes.  We truly feel blessed to serve the Trinity family!
Please join us this Sunday for worship at 10:30 am.  Junior Choir rehearsals resume this Sunday at 9:30 am.  All young people who love to sing are welcome to join.  Please speak with Peggy Millar or Betty Farris for more information.
 
New Year Announcements
Please take a look at the announcement in the bulletin about serving a committee or the Trinity Board.  Your time and efforts in supporting the mission of the Church is both needed and appreciated! Prayerfully consider where you might be called to offer your time and talent to keeping our Trinity such a vibrant and busy place. For more information please speak with Kirk Ready, Barb Roberts or Bob Cook.
We have two major FUNdraisers coming up – the Soup Tasting Night and the Coffee House Talent Night.  If you are able to prepare or donate soup, buns, bread for the soup tasting or decadent desserts or cupcakes to the Coffee House please sign up in the Fellowship Hall.  Thank-you for the many ways you support our Church!
Once again Trinity and the FIRST Lego League Robotics Team 1305 are joining forces to battle hunger in our community by entering in a team to the Coldest Night walkathon.  If you would like to join or donate to our “Subzero Superheroes” Team please speak with Lisa Blais or Jim Liddell.  More information will follow soon!
As we move into a new year, there are many upcoming events for your new calendars.

·         Monday January 8 – UCW Annual Meeting, 1 pm  Fireside Room – All women welcome

·         Friday January 12 – Soup’s On!  Soup Tasting Evening.  5 – 6:30 pm. $10 per Adult, $8 Children 6 – 12, $25 Family of 4.  Last year we sampled over 20 delicious varieties of soup.  

·         Sunday January 14th, 4 pm.  Mustard Seed Information Session for Free to Be…You and Me! Young people in Grade 1 and up are invited to the info session.  We will learn a song and learn more about this timely and timeless musical.  Rehearsals will begin after March Break with performances in June.

·         Friday January 19th, 6:30 pm.  Trinity’s Annual Coffee House Talent Night.  If you have a talent you would like to share, please sign up in the Fellowship Hall.  Coffee, Decadent Desserts and amazing local talent warm up your Friday night!  Admission is by donation.  

Please stay warm friends – and keep an eye out for those vulnerable people and animals in this cold weather.
