Trinity this week – Canada Day Weekend

Happy Canada Day weekend Trinity Friends!

 
Please join us this Sunday for a special Canada Day service at 10:30 am.  The Choir will be sharing some special Canada Day music.  Junior Choir members are encouraged to come and help sing “Canada”.
 
Please be sure to welcome members of St. Andrew’s who will be joining us this month while their staff enjoy holidays. 
 
While you are out celebrating Canada Day this weekend you may want to keep an eye out for Trinity folk who are performing at a few different venues this weekend.

 
The J.O.Y. Band is honoured to be opening the 150 th Canada Day celebrations at the waterfront bandshell on Sat. , July 1st, from noon to 12:30 p.m. Come out , bring a lawn chair , wear red if you have it , and help the band celebrate!
 
Some reminders 
* *Trinity Families is organizing a casual camping trip for August 11 – 13th at Lake Bernard Park in Sundridge.  This is open to everyone!  See the details in this week’s bulletin.
 
* *  Registration is open for Trinity’s Vacation Bible Camp (Super Hero Training Camp.) There are only a few spots available.  Bursaries are available. Don’t miss out!  July 24 – 28th from 9:30 – 3:30 $60 for the week.  Includes all food, supplies and a camp shirt.
 
**Fall Newsletter Deadline is July 30th (for handwritten) – please drop off to Trinity before then.  By email you can send them directly to Ross Brewer at (contact the church for his email address)  by August 6th.
 
** 8th Annual North Bay United Churches Golf Challenge – Thursday August 31st.  All are welcome for a fun and friendly round of golf.  See the bulletin for more details or speak with Don Haslam  – call the church for his contact information.
 

Trinity this week – June 23, 2017

Hello Trinity Friends,

This Sunday June 25th, we celebrate a baptism and welcome the Trinity Drum Circle to share a song. The UCW will be presenting bibles to students who are graduating grade 5 this year. Plan to stay after the morning’s worship for a UCW sponsored lunch. Free will donation.

This weekend the Mustard Seed Players are excited to present their new one act musical “Malice in the Palace”. You have two opportunities to catch this show: Saturday June 24th at 7 pm or Sunday June 25th at 1:30 pm. Tickets are $10 Adults and $5 Children (12 and under) and are available at the door.

Hope2Kenya is holding a pasta dinner on Saturday night – June 24th 5:00 to 6:30pm. $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children. All are welcome!

AOTS GIFT CARD FUNDRAISER-The next Gift Card orders are this Sunday – June 25th & July 9th . NOTE: The last order day prior to Trinity’s summer holiday will be July 23rd and will resume again Sunday, September 10th .Your continuing support for this AOTS youth program is greatly appreciated.

TRINITY FAMILIES has organized a casual camping trip for August 11-13 at Lake Bernard Park in Sundridge. Bring your own tent/trailer and food, cost is $27/family per night. The park is celebrating Halloween that weekend, so bring a costumes for the kids and go trick or treating! Trinity this week – June 16, 2017

Hello Trinity friends,

 
This week we have been saddened to learn of the death of two members of our Congregation – Fran Atkinson on  Sunday June 11th and our “Mr. Trinity”, Bud Thompson on Wednesday June 14th.  Please join us in holding the families and friends in prayer and love.  Fran’s funeral will be Saturday June 24th at 2 pm at Martyn Funeral Home and Bud’s will be here at Trinity on Wednesday June 21st at 2 pm.
 
This weekend, Rev. Ted is leading the Men’s “Testosterone” Canoe Trip.  Rev. Kathy will be leading our service.  
 
The Mustard Seed kids are heading into the final few rehearsals for their upcoming show “Malice in the Palace”.  Tickets are available after church on Sunday or at the door.  Please come out and support the hard work that these 18 talented children have put into this great one act musical.  Tickets are $10 adults and $5 Children (12 and under).  
 
Why not take in dinner and a show?  On Saturday night (June 24th) you have the option of coming to a Hope2Kenya Pasta Dinner.  The pasta dinner is served from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.  Mustard Seed’s Malice in the Palace starts at 7:00 pm. 
 
OR
 
Why not make a day out of coming to church on Sunday?  Come for a wonderful worship service, followed by a UCW sponsored lunch and then stay for a matinee performance of Malice in the Palace at 1:30 pm.

Registration is limited to 50 kids (and we always fill up fast.)  Get your registrations in early to guarantee your spot. Trinity’s Super Hero Training Camp runs July 24th – 28th from 9:30 – 3:30. Mustard Seed Presents Malice in the Palace!

Mustard Seed Theatre presents Malice in the Palace.  Malice in the Palace tells the story of Esther and has all the ingredients for a great Hollywood thriller—a beautiful and spirited heroine, a dark-hearted villain, a twisting plot full of danger and intrigue, and a cliffhanger of a climax.  This children’s musical is a reminder that even the smallest person acting bravely can make an enormous difference. Two shows only.  Saturday June 24th at 7 pm and Sunday June 25th at 1:30 pm at Trinity United Church, North Bay. Tickets are $10 adults and $5 students
