Trinity Weekly Update – April 29, 2016

Hello Trinity Friends!

 
Please join us this Sunday May 1st, we will be welcoming members of the Nipissing Muskoka District Freemasons to join us for a Divine Service.  We will celebrate the term of Bob Inglis as District Deputy Grand Master of that district. A service of baptism will also take place. Following the service there will be a free will offering lunch sponsored by the UCW.
 
The following Sunday (Mother’s Day) join us for worship at 10:30 am.  The Mustard Seed cast will be previewing one of the songs from their upcoming show: the Sailor’s Bible!

UCW Cafeteria Style Luncheon – Friday April 29th from 11 am – 1 pm.
Sandwiches, soup, chili and more. Come on down and enjoy a wonderful affordable lunch.
 
North Bay Choral Society – Steppin’ in to Country
Friday April 29 at 7 pm and Sunday May 1st at 2pm – Widdifield High School.  $25 available at Gulliver’s, or the door.
 

Calling all Gardeners!

Would you like to help keep Ione’s garden on the rock beautiful? Those interested in helping out with Trinity’s garden are invited to a brief meeting after worship on Sunday May 1st in the Fireside room.
 
AOTS Gift Cards
A reminder that the AOTS has gift cards for order and purchase.  You can order gift cards for dining, groceries, entertainment, clothing and gas.  The purchase of these gift cards helps to support youth ministries. For more information or to place an order speak with Ed Rose or another AOTS member after church.  The next gift card order goes in this Sunday and also on Sunday May 15th.
 
A reminder that Hope2Kenya is holding a pasta dinner fundraiser on Saturday May 14th from 5 – 6:30 pm.  Why not come out for pasta dinner and then go see the Mustard Seed production of “A Sailor’s Bible”?  Tickets for both events are available after church.  
 
Also, if you are tired of stepping on those little pieces of lego, or you would like to donate some for a good cause – please bring it in and deposit in the bin for children in Kenya.  The Hope2Kenya team will wash and deliver it!  Thank-you.

Upcoming Events and Activities
 
Prayer Vigil for Attawapiskat
Sunday April 24th at 7pm there will be a prayer vigil in support of the Attawapiskat youth crisis at St. Andrew’s United Church at 7 pm.  All are welcome to come to send messages of hope and love to the youth and their families.

Trinity Arts presents: Dave Gunning in Concert – Wednesday April 27th, 7 pm.

Join us this Sunday for a special worship service with music by the Joyful Bells! Following the service, you are invited to stay for a ‘free will offering’ sandwich lunch sponsored by the UCW.

Annual Glitter Gala – Gourmet Fundraiser for Trinity
This annual fundraiser gala includes several buffet style gourmet entrees such as: salmon, New York Striploin, Poblano Chicken, Stuffed Peppers, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Pasta, Salad and Decadent Desserts. Tickets are $40 and include a $25 tax receipt. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time. To RSVP your ticket and reserve a table please contact the office asap.

The 1st North Bay Scouts are selling Maple Syrup. If you would like to purchase some, they will be available after church.
