Maundy Thursday Potluck and Communion Service – Thursday March 24th at 6pm.
Come join with your friends from Omond and St. Andrew’s United Churches for a potluck and Communion service beginning at 6 pm at Omond Memorial United Church. Please bring a potluck dish to share and be welcomed in a time of fellowship and faith.
 
Youth Prayer Vigil – Thursday March 24th and 25th.
The Youth Prayer Vigil begins following the Maundy Thursday Communion Potluck and wraps up after the AOTS Good Friday Breakfast. All youth in grade 7 and up are invited to this all night prayer vigil. Youth who are unable to attend the potluck are welcome to meet us at Trinity after 8 pm.

The area United Churches gather for a shared Good Friday Service at St. Andrew’s United Church.
 
Easter Sunrise Service – Sunday March 27th, 7:30 am
Join us bright and early Easter morning at the corner of Ferguson and McIntyre for a special morning sunrise service. Following the service come inside for hotcross buns and coffee.

Trinity Weekly Update – Palm Sunday

Hello Trinity Friends,
 
As we journey into the start of Holy Week there are a number of worship services and opportunities to deepen your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
 
Palm and Passion Sunday – March 20, 10:30 am
Throughout Lent we have been exploring and engaging with music and word that focuses on the theme of journey. Chris Mogan, Frances Huard are our guest musicians this week along with Peggy Millar, Jennifer Hedican, Dave Wilks, Matthew Whitehead and the Junior and Senior Choirs who also enrich our service with music.
 
A reminder that Lenten Offering envelopes are available from the ushers this Sunday. The Lenten Offering donations are to support Trinity’s Food Shelf programs. Thank-you for your continued support of this very important ministry!

It is Maple Syrup Time! 1st North Bay Scouts have syrup available for sale. Details are in your weekly bulletin or from any Scouter after church on Sunday.
 
* Michael White’s Led Zeppelin show returns to Trinity on April 2nd. This time performing Zeppelin 3 and 4 in their entirety. Tickets are $34.
 
**If you would like to join the Zeppelin Choir for that evening please speak with Betty Farris and plan to come to a rehearsal on Thursday March 31st from 7 – 8 pm. ***
 
* The United Church Observer Presents: The Walrus Talks Spirituality
Live streamed in Trinity’s Fireside Room on Monday April 4th at 7 pm. All are welcome!
 
* The Annual Gourmet Glitter Dinner Fundraiser catered by Chef Donnie Blais takes place on Saturday April 16th. Tickets are now available. Entertainment at 5:30 with Dinner following at 6 pm. $40 each ($25 Tax receipt provided)

Trinity Weekly Update – Lent 5

Hello Trinity Friends!

This Sunday we continue our journey through Lent.  Our Lenten musicians include Jennifer Hedican, Peggy Millar and Brian Risk. Following worship, the Lenten Bible Study meets in the Fireside Room and Mustard Seed rehearses in the Sanctuary.

A reminder to pick up your Easter Trivia Game from the 4 Trinity Group, order your Easter Hams and your Easter Lilies.  Details are in this week’s bulletin.  AOTS Gift card orders are also being taken this Sunday.

  • April 2nd – Michael White and the White – Led Zeppelin Tribute show.  Tickets now available from the Church Office – $34 (includes HST)

***If you would like to join the choir in singing a couple of songs with the band, please let Betty Farris know.  A rehearsal will be held on Thursday March 31st from 7 – 8 pm. Dress rehearsal TBA 

 

  • The United Church Observer Presents: The Walrus Talks Spirituality. This event will be live streamed in the Fireside Room on Monday April 4that 7 pm.  All are welcome! 
  • Annual Glitter Gourmet Dinner – Saturday April 16th.  Catered by Chef Donnie Blais. Tickets now available. This is a fundraiser for Trinity.  $40 each ($25 Tax receipt provided) Reserved seating is available by request. For more information contact Lisa: blais.trinity@gmail.com

Trinity Weekly Update – Lent Four

Hello Trinity Friends,

 
Once again,  there are some wonderful opportunities to spend time at Trinity this weekend.  
 
Tonight, Trinity United Church plays host to a Jazz Cabaret featuring 100 years of black music on Friday, March 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. As part of the KH Baton Challenge, this community event will raise money and awareness for the Northern Lights and Osprey Lodge of the North Bay Regional Health Care Centre. Fran Hanover and Christopher Moore will perform a wide repertoire of jazz music. Refreshments and desserts will be served. A free will donation will be collected at the door. Today is the World Day of Prayer.  The World Day of Prayer Service is held at Pro Cathedral tonight at 7 pm.  All are welcome!  
 
Tomorrow night – Saturday March 5th, join your friends and family for a hearty Pasta Dinner for Friends of Camp Caritou. Sponsored by the Ferris Lions – 5 – 7pm.  $10 for Adults   $5 for Children 12 and  under
 
On Sunday, join us for worship as we continue our “journey” through Lent.  Musical offerings by Marcel MacDonald, Jodi St. Pierre and of course, our wonderful Church Choir!  Following the worship, you are invited to stay a little longer for a sandwich lunch provided by the UCW. Lunch is by free will donation.
 
During the Mustard Seed rehearsal (12:30 – 2:30) parents and other interested folk, are invited to play some board games in the gym.    Feel free to bring your favourite game! 
 
Don’t forget to pick up the Easter Trivia Game created by the 4Trinity fundraiser committee!  It is a great game, easy to play and lots of fun.  $10 each.  They make a great gift!
