Trinity Weekly Update January 29

Hello Trinity Friends!

 
On this chilly Friday, we invite you to warm your hearts and hands and join us for worship this Sunday morning at 10:30 am.  
 
Sunday afternoon will be the Second Annual Snowshoe Sunday at the Canadian Ecology Centre.  Arrival time is between 1 and 1:45.  
 
Next Sunday February 7th, following our worship service, plan to stay for a hotdog lunch sponsored by Trinity Families.
 
The UCW are meeting on Monday February 8th at 1 pm in the Fireside Room for a Surprise Program!  All women are welcome anytime.
 
The Trinity Family Retreat weekend is now full!  If you would like to come out and join us for Sunday Afternoon for worship and winter carnival games all are welcome.  Come for Sunday February 14th at 2 for worship and stay until 5:30 for lots of carnival games.  A hearty snack will be provided.  Cost is $10 per family or $5 per person.  Thanks- hope to see you there!
 
Red Hot Friday Night Chili Cook-Off – Friday February 19th from 5:30 – 7 pm  (music begins at 5 pm).  Special Prizes for Fan Favourite, Runner Up, Best Dressed (most creative) and Best Named.  If you would like to enter a chili into the contest – or a dessert for sharing – please contact Rob Sanders at eeffoc@gmail.com or Lisa at blais.trinity@gmail.com

Trinity Weekly Update

Hello Trinity Friends!

 
What better way to spend a Friday night than with your Trinity friends?  Come down to Trinity this evening for our annual Coffeehouse.  Talented performers will entertain you, while you warm up with a gourmet coffee and decadent desserts.  Admission along with refreshments are by good will offering. The entertainment starts at 6:45 pm.  See you there!
 
This Sunday during worship we celebrate Scottish Poet, Robbie Burns.  Feel free to wear your tartan.   Following the service there will be a free will offering lunch, with all proceeds towards the Family Day weekend retreat.
 
Mustard Seed Information session will happen from 1 – 3 in the fireside room.  All young people in Senior Kindergarten and up are invited to learn more about this upbeat musical.  A Sailor’s Bible will perform May 14th and 15th.  Rehearsals through February and March will be Sunday afternoons – an exact time will be decided at the information session.  In April, rehearsals will happen Sunday afternoon and Thursday evenings until the show.    CD’s and scripts will be handed out at the information session.   If your child is interested but is not able to attend the information session please let us know!
 
A Community Christian Unity Service  will occur at Calvin Presbyterian Church on Sunday January 24th at 2 pm.  All are welcome to attend.        
 

 The Subzero Superheroes Coldest Night Team is looking for super people to join our us! You can sport a fine toque and join us for the walk and/or you can pledge one of the walkers. All proceeds will go towards the Gathering Place. If you would like to make a donation or join the team, please speak with Jim Liddell after church or email Lisa at blais.trinity@gmail.com  Pledges will be collected by Ryan Rozicki after our service on Sunday if you would like to make a donation.

Trinity Weekly Update – January 15, 2016

Hello Trinity Friends,

 
On a cold and blustery day, we would like to welcome you to warm your hearts and hands with us at Trinity. Please take a look and see the upcoming worship services and special events that are happening at Trinity and in our community.
 
Worship Services
Sunday January 17th – Communion,10:30 am.  
Sunday January 24th we celebrate Robbie Burns’ Day.  Feel free to wear your tartans.
 
Special Events
A reminder that Soup’s On tonight at Trinity.  If you would like to enjoy some delicious soup with the fixings – come on down to Trinity (McIntyre Entrance) from 5 – 6:30 pm.  Tickets are $10 Adults, $5 Children (6-12) and $25 for Families
Special Gourmet Salad Dressings will be for sale at the soup tasting for $ 5 a bottle – this is a fundraiser for the church.  4 delicious flavours to choose from!
 
Next Friday night is Trinity’s Annual Coffeehouse 
Friday January 22nd 7 pm.  The Hosts will kick off the entertainment around 6:30 pm and will also finish off our evening – after our talented performers are finished.  Come on out for a fantastic evening of entertainment, decadent desserts and gourmet coffee.  Admission is by free will donation, as is the coffee and dessert. 
 
Mustard Seed Information Session – Sunday January 24th from 1 – 3 pm.  
All young people Senior Kindergarten age and up are invited to hear more about our upcoming musical “A Sailor’s Bible”.  The children will learn a song and some choreography, receive their scripts and CD’s and have a chance to ask questions. Dave McKenney is also looking for Plastic Egg Cartons for the Beavers.  IF you have some, please bring them into the church as soon as possible.  Thank-you!

Soup’s On:  The annual (and much anticipated) Soup Tasting Night is on Friday January 15th from 5 – 6:30 pm. Tickets will be available after church this Sunday. ($10 Adults, $5 Children, Family $25, under 6 free)
