Hello Trinity Friends!

This Sunday December 7th is the second Sunday in Advent – we light the candle of peace.

We also celebrate White Gift Sunday.

Please bring your white gift offering to church this Sunday. Gifts of non-perishable food, money, or other items that may bring comfort to those in need are gathered by the Sunday School children during the service.

This week at home: Take some time to share stories about the peacemakers in your community, at church, school, and in the wider community. What ways can we act as peacemakers in our own communities?  Consider writing a letter or card of thanks to someone in your community who is a peace maker.

A reading of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

Come out and join your friends for an enchanting evening sure to put you into the seasonal mood. Charles Dickens’ timeless classic “A Christmas Carol” is a story of laughter and redemption—shared by talented musicians, gifted story-tellers, and an atmosphere of insight, humour, and warmth.

Join us at Trinity United Church (Ferguson at McIntyre) on Wednesday December 3rd for our 6:30pm sing-a-long of Christmas favourites, followed by the Dickens classic at 7pm. Tickets are $15 ($10 for students) and refreshments will be served.

In true Dickens fashion, all ticket proceeds go to North Bay’s soup kitchen, “The Gathering Place.”

Celebrity leaders include: Tracey Berti, Darlene Leferriere, Rod Carley, Josh Bainbridge, Lachlan MacLachlan, and Reverend Ted Harrison. Musical guests include Jim Harney, Samantha Depatie, Jen Hedican, Matt Whitehead, Betty Farris and Paolo and Sophie Dottori.

“God bless us, every one!
