Trinity Weekly Update – May 1st

Hello Trinity Friends!

After an incredible run of King Lear, Trinity’s sanctuary has been returned to its regular beauty.  Thank-you to all of you for your patience, your hospitality and your willingness to support the arts.  The cast and crew of King Lear have offered so many kind words about the Trinity community and I, for one, will miss having them here.  I am certain that we will be talking about King Lear for a long time to come.

This Sunday we worship, as always, at 10:30 am.  Come early and join us for a hymn sing at 10:15 am.

The following Sunday is our Mother’s Day Baptism Service.

A couple of upcoming events and announcements:

Glitter Dinner – Saturday May 9th.

Tickets must be purchased or reserved ahead of time in order to prepare the appropriate amount of food.  If you have not purchased your ticket yet, you can pick one up at the church office or from Doris-Rae Brownlee.  A buffet style gourmet dinner with salmon, steak, chicken, veg, salad, delicious dessert and more are on the menu.  Tickets are $40 each (you will receive a $25 tax receipt).  Music will be provided by Brenda McLay and special guests!

If you are able to help out with the Glitter Dinner – payment in the form of a generous take-out meal can be offered, along with our gratitude!  Please speak with Lisa if you can help out!

Sunday May 10th – The Inter-denominational youth group will be taking a hike in Laurier woods.  Moms and Dads are welcome to join us on the walk.  Meet at the trail head on LAURIER AVE at 1 pm.  Youth will meet first at Calvin Presbyterian Church at 12:15 for lunch before heading over to the trail.  Pick-up will be at the trail between 2:45 and 3 pm.

Please remember to read through your Sunday Bulletin for many more special worship services, events and activities that are happening at Trinity and in our community.  The Sunday Bulletin is also posted on our website under the “worship” tab.  The website address is www.trinitynorthbay.ca

Have a wonderful weekend!
