Trinity Weekly Update

Hello Trinity Friends,

As some of you may have heard in the news this morning, there has been a fire at Omond Memorial Church and the Manitou Conference Offices.(which is the office for the United Church district that spans most of North-Eastern Ontario).  We are grateful that no-one was hurt. Most of the fire was contained in one office – the sanctuary and other offices have sustained smoke damage. Please be assured that Trinity and other area churches have offered support, meeting space and prayers to the Omond Church Family and our Conference Staff.

Beginner All Ages Violin Classes
Jennifer Hedican will be offering beginning all ages violin classes for anyone interested.  Thursdays (beginning on October 8th) at 4:30 pm.  Classes are $10 per person (each class).  A portion of the proceeds will go towards Trinity Families Outreach.  Rentals can be arranged if needed.  A sign-up sheet will be in the Sunday School Hall.

Trinity’s Sunday School will be collecting donations to help sponsor a refugee family from Syria.  This is the campaign that was begun by Mayor Al McDonald and the Sunday School decided that it would like to help.  Last week we asked children to bring in a toonie to put towards this.  Next week, the Sunday School will be asking the congregation to help support this cause too.  Envelopes will be distributed next week and a donation can will be placed in the Sunday School hall as well.  Thanks for your support!

Have a wonderful weekend – see you Sunday!
