Trinity this week – Third Sunday in Lent

Hello Trinity Friends,

This Sunday we continue our journey through Lent exploring the theme of prayer. The Junior Choir will share a song that it sure to set the mood.

A couple of important announcements:

Sewers Needed
Trinity’s Infant Food Shelf has material cut and ready for sewing. If you are ablt to help sew a blanket or two, the material will be available of the stage in the Fellowship Room after church on Sunday. Thank-you for helping keep our babies warm and cozy!

Next Friday March 9th at 1 pm there will be a free showing at the Capitol Centre of Colonization Road. There will be refreshments served and an opportunity for a Q & A with the filmmaker Michelle St. John. On his journey through Ontario, Anishnaabe comedian, Ryan McMahon explores the history of these roads, meets with settlers in solidarity and raises significant questions about “reconciliation” and what it means to “decolonize. https://www.facebook.com/events/153658775297664/

Some Lenten advice from the back of this week’s bulletin

Jesuit James Martin recommends an imaging prayer in which we should simply picture ourselves laughing with Jesus. How might you explore the connection between paying and praying, whereby author Anne Lamott declares, “Laughter is carbonated holiness”?
