Trinity this week – Robbie Burns’ Sunday and Week of Prayer for Christian Unity – January 22, 2023

Hello Trinity Friends,
Please join us this Sunday January 22nd at 10:30 am. We celebrate the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity and we honour Robbie Burns’ as well! You are highly encouraged to wear your tartan – or any Scottish attire you may have!
The Sunday School theme this week is discipleship. Children will have an opportunity to engage with the call of the disciples’ story through games and dramatic play.

A reminder that next Sunday January 29th, Trinity will be closed so that we can join together with other United Churches for the 5th Sunday worship service at Emmanuel United Church.  Please see the attached invitation for more important information about parking, lunch, masks, etc. We hope that you will join us for this very special opportunity to worship together with our extended faith family.  Lunch will be served following the service.
There are a number of important announcements and upcoming activities.

Please read through your bulletin (which will be available when you arrive Sunday for worship or is available on our website for those who join us from home. A few highlights are below.
Would you like to get more involved in the life and work of Trinity? There are a number of ways to join in. Perhaps you would consider offering your time, talent and enthusiasm to one of the committees of the Board?  Your input would be valued and you will be well rewarded with the satisfaction of helping Trinity continue its mission within the Church and to the wider community! Speak with our Board Chairperson, Cindy Brownlee, or any member of the Board for more information.
We are also always in search of people (of all ages) willing to lay lead, greet or usher.  If you’d like to offer your time to help out with one of these jobs a sign up sheet will be up in the Fellowship Hall soon.
Don’t forget that the Soup Tasting evening takes place on Friday January 27th from 5 to 6:30 pm.  This is always a very popular and delicious event.  $10 Adults, $5 Children and $25 for a family of 4. (Children under 6 are free).  Sponsored by the AOTS with soup makers from the congregation – please come out and enjoy a variety of hot soups, breads and dessert!
Registration is now open for the Trinity Family Retreat which takes place February 18 – 20th at Spirit Point.  For more information or to register speak with Lisa Blais, Marcel MacDonald or Carling Lutecki.  Registration forms are available by request and are also available on the table outside the main office.
The Finance and Stewardship Committee would like to extend a big “THANK YOU” to all our supporters for your financial donations throughout the year and during the Christmas season. Your generosity has resulted in a substantial reduction in our deficit for 2022. Your contributions help to maintain the important ministry and outreach activities at Trinity. Our work continues and your donations are always greatly appreciated.

Please do read your bulletin for much more information about upcoming events and some additional announcements.  You can find it here Weekly Bulletin
