Trinity this week – Longest Night, Cantata Sunday, Christmas Eve – December 22, 2024

Hello Trinity Friends!

This Sunday December 22nd we light the Advent Candle of Love.  The Choir will be sharing their wonderful gift of music and bringing us into Christmas week with their Cantata “Joy has Dawned”. This is always a highly anticipated event – come early for a good seat!  This is an all ages celebration so our Sunday School children are encouraged to enjoy worship with their families.  The nursery will be staffed for younger children but there will be no Sunday School.

A reminder that tonight (Friday December 20th at 7 pm) is the LONGEST NIGHT Service. It has become a yearly tradition where we gather together, along with friends from St. Andrew’s, to take pause and acknowledge our losses, our worries and our lows. We will gather for a service of heartfelt string music by Sam DePatie and Ariel Hyatt and candlelit prayer in the Trinity sanctuary at 7 pm. All are welcome.

Christmas Eve Worship

Tuesday, Dec. 24th: Christmas Eve Service, 7 pm
Our Family service will include the scripture story and lively singing of many of your Christmas favourites! Our nursery is available for your convenience but will not be staffed on Christmas Eve – children of all ages are more than welcome at both services!

Fifth Sunday December 29 at St. Andrew’s United Church

Area United Churches will join in worship together at St. Andrew’s United Church at 10:30 am.  Trinity will be closed for worship as we will be joining our friends at St. Andrew’s!

Below are some additional announcements to draw your attention to.  Please keep reading!
