Happy Friday Trinity Friends,
This Sunday we continue our musical journey of the Lenten Blues. Fran Hanover, accompanied by Brenda McLay, will share the haunting and beautiful song, Strange Fruit, during worship. Our Sunday School will be exploring Life in Bible Times.
A reminder that shortly after worship, the children’s choir will be practicing in the Fireside room. They will be singing their Lenten Blues piece next Sunday March 30th. All children are welcome (even if this is their first time) The rehearsal will finish at 12:30 – just in time for the Mustard Seed information session!
Mustard Seed is excited to present our new show: Happily Forever After. A Musical for Kids about the Kingdom of God with Knights, Princesses and maybe even a Dragon! Join us as we set off on an amazing quest in a faraway land that is sure to end Happily Forever After! Mustard Seed Information/Audition session takes place this Sunday from 12:30 – 1:30 in the Fireside Room. Lisa will be available from 12 – 12:30 to answer any questions or to receive registrations for children who would like to participate as part of the chorus.
Tonight is theRed Hot Friday Chili Night – there are many chilis for you to enjoy – vegetarian, meat, mild, spicy, traditional, and unique – something for everyone! Come on out and see if the judges pick for favourite chili is also your pick! Buns, desserts, coffee, tea & juice will also be served. $10 adults, $8 children (12 & under), $25 for family of 4. Hope to see you there!

Next Sunday March 30th, Trinity welcomes our neighbouring United Churches to our Fifth Sunday Service! We will also be launching our 100th Anniversary Celebrations. Join us in the fellowship hall after church for a light lunch and chat with some of your Centennial Party planners to hear about the exciting events being planned for our 100th Anniversary weekend June 6 – 8th.
The Good Friday Breakfast hosted by the AOTS will take place on Friday April 18th at 8 am in Trinity’s Fellowship Hall. All are welcome for a delicious breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast, homefries and refreshments. Pastor Caitlin Smithers, from St. Andrew’s United Church, will be the guest speaker. Tickets $15, must be purchased in advance
St. Andrew’s United Church welcomes anyone to participate in their Wednesday Lenten Poetry series, Divine Poetry – Finding God in the Word. People are invited for noon, the time will begin with a short worship, followed by sharing poetry and then having bag lunch together. March 12,19,26, April 2, 9, 16. Please know you don’t have to attend all the Wednesday, come as you are able.

Backpacks for Love Campaign
The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay are gearing up for their Backpacks of Love campaign. The drop off day will be at the Pro Cathedral on Saturday May 3, 2025 or you can bring in your donation to Trinity for the month of April. We are asking our Trinity congregation to provide the following: Socks, Lip Balm, Mini flashlights
You can drop off your donation at the back of the sanctuary in the box provided or give it to either Sue Miller or Anne Smith. We are also accepting cash donations to help purchase these items. Our goal is to provide 100 backpacks for 2025.
Scout Maple Syrup
The Sap is running and it is soon time to order your Maple Syrup! The North Bay Scouting Group will again be selling Hubbert’s Maple Syrup to support their activities with youth. The price of Maple Syrup remains the same as last year.
$15 for 500 ml, $25 for 1 Litre, $40 for 2 Litres, $70 for 4 Litres
Order forms will be available on Sunday April 6.
Trinity’s Coffee House Returns on Friday April 11th!
Sign up your talent in the Fellowship Hall – we welcome a wide array of talents to entertain! We are also looking for some deliciously decadent desserts to accompany our gourmet coffees. If you’d be willing to make a dessert, please let Lisa know – a sign up sheet will be posted soon!
