Hello Trinity Friends,
This Sunday we will be having an Intergenerational (all ages) Service led by the Trinity Youth Group. They have been working very hard to get this ready and they are very excited to share the worship service they have built with you! A reminder that this Sunday, we will be worshipping in the Fellowship Hall at tables. The youth will greet you at either of the entrances and direct you to the appropriate table. Children will remain in the service! Communion will also be served. You will not want to miss this memorable service!
Later in the afternoon, the United Church of Canada will be kicking off 100th Anniversary celebrations with a special service (livestreamed from Metropolitan United Church in Toronto). Emmanuel United invites you to a viewing of the livestream service from their sanctuary. Music from Metropolitan United will begin at 3:30 pm.
June Worship Dates
- Next Sunday June 16, while Rev. Ted is leading a group of adventuresome men on the Annual Canoe Trip weekend, Trinity’s worship will be led by Rev. Lillian Roberts. We are looking forward to welcoming the JOYFUL Bells to our service as well!
- Our last Sunday worship before the summer break will be Sunday June 23rd.
- June 30th is a fifth Sunday worship – we will gather at Emmanuel United Church at 11 am for worship!
Celebrating the United Church’s 100th Anniversary
Our Board Chair Glenn Brophey is hoping to connect to people who would like to help plan ways to commemorate and celebrate the upcoming 100th Anniversary of the United Church. Please speak with Glenn or one of your Ministers if you are willing to help out!
Rev. Ted’s “secret book” for his Secret Book Club has arrived! If you have signed up for the book club be sure to seek out Ted on Sunday to collect yours!
The UCW would like you to put on your CREATIVE thinking caps, and put your CRAFTY fingers to work to create CRAFTY items for our November Bazaar. The cupboard is bare, and we need your help to “fill” it. The UCW enjoys putting the bazaar together but we would appreciate your assistance in creating items for the CRAFT table. As always, we are grateful for your continued support in all projects the UCW undertakes.
Trinity Summer Closure
This year Trinity will be closed for summer holidays beginning June 24th. Staff will return to their offices on July 30th. While we are closed we are looking for people to check on our church building each day. If you are interested, please sign the sheet at the back of the Fellowship Hall. It’s a bonus if you already have a key!
While Trinity is closed, we hope you will join our friends from St. Andrew’s United Church just down the street. Our Summer Students, Abbi and Andrew, will be leading some fun Sunday School activities for our families.
See you at Trinity!
