Trinity Weekly Update – August 19, 2016

Hello Trinity friends!

Having just completed another successful week of Vacation Bible Camp, I imagine that things will be a little quieter around Trinity.  We are grateful for the many, many people who volunteered their time to ensure it was a success once again.  Thanks to Jean Mitchell and all the kitchen helpers, all 54 campers and the many youth volunteers and leaders were well fed!  Thanks especially to my VBC co-creators Marcel MacDonald and Melissa Peddie, to Carrie Graham, Caitie Blumson and Hannah McCallum for their leadership and support, to Ryan Rozicki cleaning up after us and lending a hand whenever we needed it and to Rev. Ted, for being such a good sport as always. We also wish to acknowledge the Heritage Railway and Carousel for accommodating our very large and enthusiastic group! Last but not least, heartfelt thanks to you, the Trinity family, for supporting this amazing outreach year after year! We are looking forward to doing this all again in about a year’s time.

A reminder that this Sunday August 21st at 10:30 am, we are holding a special service commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the Apology.  Please plan to attend this very special occasion.

For those of you who wish to submit newsletter items – please be sure to send them in to Trinity’s office trinity.secretary@cogeco.net The newsletter will be assembled and distributed before Rally Back Sunday.

Trinity Weekly Update – August 12th

Hello Trinity Friends!

After an incredibly hot week, we are grateful for the rain today to cool things off.  A reminder that next week we Castaway for adventure, welcoming well over 50 children to our Vacation Bible Camp week.  It will be a busy place!  We look forward to sharing some photos and of course, the ever popular videos of our VBC Crew – which this year includes our fish loving, story telling Captain Soggy Bottom.

Summer worship continues each Sunday at 10:30am.  We are happy to welcome St. Andrew’s friends along with other visitors this summer. Sunday School and nursery care continues as well.  Next Sunday August 21st, we are having a special service commemorating the 30th anniversary of the apology to First Nations’ people.
