Trinity This Week!

Hello Trinity Friends!

This Sunday, in honour of St. Francis, children of all ages are invited to bring a favourite stuffed animal or a remembrance of a special animal friend to be blessed during the worship service.

A reminder to parents that the Children’s Choir will be offering a special song during worship this Sunday.  Rehearsal is 9:30 Sunday morning in the Sanctuary.

Next Sunday October 5th is World Wide Communion Sunday.  Communion will be served early in the service while children are present.  All people are welcome and encouraged to share communion!

Sunday, October 12th -THANKSGIVING BAPTISM

Families interested in baptism should be in touch with the office ASAP!

Trinity’s delicious apple pies will be assembled and ready for delivery or pick-up beginning Monday September 29th.  If you are able to help out with this amazing community wide project please sign-up today!  

Thanksgiving Offering Envelopes

Envelopes are being distributed this Sunday.  Money for Trinity’s Food Shelf or the Benevolent Fund and/or food items for the Food Shelf will be collected on Thanksgiving Sunday. Thanks for your support!

Youth Events

This Sunday September 28th at 1 pm North Bay Presbytery Youth Group is meeting at Chalmer’s United Church in South River for an afternoon of games and fun!  For more information email nbpyouth@yahoo.ca

The Inter-denominational Youth Group (I-DYG) is having a pizza social on Sunday October 5th at 12:30 at Calvin Presbyterian Church.  Pizza, community building games and more!  For more information speak with Lisa or email her at blais.trinity@gmail.com

Trinity Weekly News – September 19th

Hello Trinity Friends!

This Sunday during our worship service we will be blessing prayer shawls and the Junior Choir will be singing.  As always, Rev. Ted will offer a meaningful and thought provoking sermon and Betty and the choir will share some wonderful music that helps to set the tone of the overall message of the day. Children will gather with friends for music, fun and learning during Sunday School and following the service we will all gather downstairs for coffee, juice and fellowship.  It is a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning – hope to see you here!

Hand Bell Ringers

–Practice for hand bell ringing is Tuesday,evenings @6:00pm beginning September 23rd. “Joyful Bells” meet in the Boardroom (upstairs behind the sanctuary) all are welcome as we learn together the art of joyful music of the bells. Please join us for a fun filled hour.

Junior Choir 

Practices are just starting up.  Join us each Sunday at 9:30am in the sanctuary. Children ages JK and up are welcome. Please speak with Peggy Millar  for more information.

TUESDAY NURSERY JOB AVAILABLE

The Tuesday Morning Coffee Group is looking for a nursery caregiver who would be able to provide childcare Tuesday mornings from 9:15 – 11:45 starting as soon as possible.  Childcare experience preferred.  Please note that this job requires completion of a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference check.  Remuneration is $25 each Tuesday.  For more information or to submit a resume please contact Lisa Blais at blais.trinity@gmail.com or call (705)474-3310.

Trinity this week!

Hello Trinity Friends!

 

Last Sunday we kicked off our season with a joy filled Rally back service followed by our Church Family Picnic. It was a  wonderful afternoon of fun, fellowship and food enjoyed by approximately 80 people!  Thanks to Sandra for leading worship, Cindy for organizing games, Janice and Rae for bringing the desserts, Matt and Marcel for musical leadership, Ed and Judi for turkey, the AOTS (men’s group) for ham and buns, Sue and Julia for face painting, and the Christian Education Committee for organizing (and cleaning).  Thanks also to all the children, youth and adults who came out and spent a great day with us!

 

We are looking forward to a great fall filled with meaningful worship, fantastic music, terrific programs and warm fellowship.  Please mark your calendars and plan to join us whenever you are able!

Junior Choir will be starting up again this Sunday – 9:30 am in the Sanctuary.  All children JK and up are welcome!  Children will learn new music, make friends and have the opportunity to sing for the congregation periodically throughout the year.  For more information please speak with Miss Peggy (Miller).  

 

It is that time of the year again…Apple Pies!

There are plenty of opportunities to help out with this amazing community project.  If you have not helped out before it is really something to experience!  There are sign-up sheets in the Sunday School room – please sign up for whatever time you can give.

 

Trinity’s Food Shelf has expanded to include the Infant Food Shelf.  This program is for families with infants up to age 12 months who are in need of supplies for their newborns.  The program is open Wednesdays from 11:30 – 1:30 pm.  A breakfast program for anyone in need will begin after Thanksgiving.  This program will run Monday mornings from 9 – 9:30.  We are looking for volunteers for both of these programs.  If you would like to volunteer for a day or two a month please speak with Lisa Blais.

 

Tuesday Group Nursery Caregiver Needed

You would be responsible for providing welcoming and stimulating child care for children from birth to 3 years old. Childcare experience preferred. Please note that this job requires completion of a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference check. Remuneration is $25 for the morning.

Rally Back at Trinity

Hello Trinity Friends,

 
This Sunday we are celebrating Rally Back Sunday!  This is the special Sunday where we officially kick off the start of the new season and celebrate the return to our regular fall routines!  During the worship service we will be covenanting with the Sunday School leaders and volunteers.  There may also be a couple of special surprises!
 
In the afternoon everyone is invited to Trinity’s Annual Church Picnic on the shores of Lake Nipissing at Camp Tillicum!  It is a wonderful way to spend the day with Trinity friends and family.  There are fun games, great food and company and a wonderful lakeside Vespers service to round out the day! Bring a salad or appetizer, plate and fork, bathing suit and lawn chair.  Sandwich meat and buns, refreshments and dessert will be supplied!  Everyone is welcome!
